Pumpkin & Lobster Dishes Perfect for Fall

Pumpkin, Lobster & Ginger Soup

A dish that is both healthy and flavorful, this savory lobster soup is the perfect way to warm up after an afternoon raking leaves out in the crisp fall weather. With a full-bodied pumpkin flavor and a hint of ginger, your guests will never have tasted something quite like this before.


  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 celery ribs
  • 2 Tbsp ginger
  • 2 lbs pumpkin
  • 2 quarts lobster stock
  • 1 can pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup white whine
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup creme fraiche
  • 3/4 cups cream sherry
  • 2 cups cooked lobster meat
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/3 cup toasted pumpkin seeds


  • Melt butter in stockpot.
  • Add garlic, onion, carrots, celery, ginger and pumpkin. Saute 15 minutes.
  • Add stock, pumpkin puree and wine. Bring mixture to boill.
  • Reduce heat to medium and simmer until pumpkin is tender (25-30 minutes).
  • Add Worchestershire sauce, brown sugar, cream, creme fraiche and sherry.
  • Puree soup using a hand blender until smooth.
  • Stir in lobster meat
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste
  • Garnish with toasted pumpkin seeds.

Pumpkin Lobster Mac & Cheese

What could be better than lobster mac and cheese? The only thing we can think of is this version that incorporates pumpkin flavors as well! A great option to serve with Thanksgiving dinner if you have some picky eaters at your table, this dish bakes in 30 minutes and your children are sure to love it.


  • 16 oz spiral pasta
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp minced shallots
  • 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 12 oz evaporated milk
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch each, garlic powder, paprika and nutmeg
  • 3-4 dashes Sriracha sauce
  • 1 lb cooked lobster meat


  • Cook pasta, drain and set aside.
  • Melt butter in a skillet and cook shallots until lightly browned.
  • Whisk flour in to form a paste.
  • Slowly whisk evaporated milk into mixture and simmer until thickened.
  • Add shredded cheddar cheese and mascarpone cheese. Stir until melted in.
  • Stir in pumpkin puree, spices and Sriracha sauce.
  • Mix in lobster meat and cooked pasta until meal is heated through.

Pumpkin, Lobster & Ricotta Raviolis

Looking for a fun twist on your family’s traditional ravioli recipe? These pumpkin, lobster and ricotta raviolis will absolutely wow you guests! The best part is that you can prep this dish a day ahead of time and then boil them up quickly before dinner begins.


  • 4.5 lbs lobster meat
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 4 Tbsp mascarpone cheese
  • 3 Tbsp canned pumpkin
  • Fresh egg noodle lasagna sheets
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter (for sealing ravioli)


  • Hand tear lobster meat into dime-size chunks.
  • Saute lobster meat in pan with butter for about 4 minutes.
  • Add flour and milk, stirring until you have a sauce.
  • Turn off heat. Stir in cheese and canned pumpkin.
  • Add nutmeg, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cut egg noodles into 40 ravioli-sized squares. Add a dollop of lobster mixture to half the squares, rubbing the edges of each square with melted butter.
  • Top each lobster meat-filled square with another pasta square. Seal the edges.
  • Bring a large pot of water to boil, dropping raviolis in a few at a time.
  • Cook for 5 minutes and serve.
